Aura. Portraits of Shadow – display and workshop of camera-free techniques for pairs: friends, acquaintances, pals, couples, siblings, parents and children, neighbours, colleagues. Workshop inspired by the convention, popular in the 18th century, of making silhouette portraits by making an exposure of the profile using sunlight on photographic paper. The workshop’s aim is to experience photography as a kind of presentation, a performance played out between light and dark, in which each participant has an important role, becoming both the object of the exposure and initiator and observer of the processes of developing the pictures. The workshop’s end products will be presented during the Echoes exhibition, after which the will be returned to their creators.
